In America today, Global warming is an apparent and recurring problem in america. Recently, there have been many cases of global warming that, if not stopped could danger our earth and the change the way we live forever. These instances of global warming’s effects include forest fires, the melting of ice in the arctic and the drought in California. Global warming In my opinion has the potential to deteriorate the earth into a worse state than it already is in, for a couple of reasons. This year alone, nearly 3 dozen forest fires have taken place in California because of the drought resulting in dry, brittle and highly flammable trees. If it keeps happening at this rate, it won’t belong before the golden state is treeless. Also, recent studies have revealed that if the remaining fossil fuels on earth were burned, the atlantic ice sheet would melt, raising the sea level by 200 feet. This would drastically alter the arctic ecosystem and ultimately change the way we live.
