It is highly unethical for the U.S government to almost look away while Syrian refugees are being slaughtered and seeking help. America shouldn't help by attacking Syria though for that could cause a power struggle reminiscent to early 1990's Afghanistan ultimately putting america in another long Iraq like war. It could also create more problems with Russia who have a naval installation in Syria. So the best approach to the Syrian refugee crisis is to give the refugees safe haven in America the land of the free.Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley was stated saying "Americans are a generous and compassionate people," he said. "But today our policies are falling short of those values. We must do more to support Syrian refugees."and this is very much true. The american people have shown this support by many ways including a petition to save the Syrian refugees which already has a little more than 100,000 signatures. So what type of message does it send to the rest of the world when America has allowed around 1,500 refugees in the country while Germany has let in over 800,000 refugees."The U.S. has historically been the world leader in recognizing the moral obligation to resettle refugees," International Rescue Committee president and CEO David Miliband said."But in the four years of the Syria crisis, there has been inertia rather than leadership." America must put forth more effort to save the lives of thousands of Syrian refugees for it is the only right thing to do.

Let Them In!
Out of the 4 million people that have fled Syria looking for refugee, America has taken in 0.003 % of the people. The U.S needs to immediately address the issue of Syrian refugees for not only is it morally corrupt for us to just look away as people are being slaughtered but it also sends a message to the world when the U.S are barely helping people. To solve the issue would be fairly easy because the problem is that the government doesn’t want to so to solve the problem. We the American people along with allied countries should put more pressure on the American Gov. to accept more refugees
